Stirred plaster and water till it coted my hand like a glove. Then pored the mixture into a cartin and tapped the sides to get bubbles in the mixture out. Those aren't good when your carving.
This is what it looks like out of the carton. Had to wait till the mixture got hot and then felt solid. The mixture will still feel kind of wet-ish.
"Sketched" the image into the plaster. Now for making it look 3D.
Trying to carve out the image as a whole and get rid of the negative space then carve it into a more 3D shape.
Starting out the 3D carving, the foot broke off unfortunately. The tails seem like they will be the hardest part.
So the tails are definitely the hardest part. I switched from carving it from the side ti carving it from the top down to get the tails.
