This is the final exam project for ceramics, on the day of the exam we get to test our sushi wear by using it to eat sushi, ramen, and drink tea.
The Chopstick Holder
The Bowl
The bowl is a birds nest. I used an extruder (basically a legit play-do toy that squeezes out septette) to get the twig resemblance that nests have. The glaze looks like the same color the clay turns when it is fired but it will look a spotted carmel color.

The nest has been fired and came out very nicely. It looks like twigs and the spots look like other debris that would be in a nest.

The Cup
The cup is relatively plain in physical design. I spun in on the wheel my first try. Not my best but i liked the texture on the bottom. You cant see it well because of the glaze but when it's fired you will. I used different colors to make it pop and fit with the nature theme.

Kind of reminds me of bamboo and I think the way i glazed it complements the duvets in the bottom very nicely. It may be simple but it looks nice with the whole set. It tames the piece as a whole rather than it being to busy and to much.

The Plate
I think it works ^^ This looks so legit to me. I love how whimsical it seems. :) It's perfect to me. And I love how I accidentally color matched to my chopsticks :D
